Takefusa Kubo heads to Getafe on loan for remainder of season

Nineteen-year-old Japan international Takefusa Kubo has joined Getafe on loan for the rest of the season from Real Madrid, the two Spanish La Liga clubs announced Friday.

The left-footed attacking midfielder spent the first half of the season on loan at third-place Villarreal but found playing time hard to come by under their manager Unai Emery, with just two starts in 13 league appearances without scoring a goal.

Kubo was given chances in the Europa League, with the youngster starting all five group-stage games and scoring one goal. But he never won a regular berth in the side, and was often deployed in an unfamiliar role on the left side of the pitch.

28-year-old has been an ever-present figure in the Bavarians’ lineup for a decade now, and has been a pivotal part of the success that they have enjoyed during the period. However, a parting of ways seems to be on the cards with the versatile defender’s contract set to run out at the end of the season.

Arsenal target Odsonne Edouard using Kieran Tierney tactic as Celtic star eyes transfer

Celtic star Odsonne Edouard now has the same agent Kieran Tierney used to help him join Arsenal, amid reports linking the striker with a move to the Gunners. Edouard has been reported as a potential long-term replacement for Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal. The Frenchman has scored 74 goals in 151 appearances for Celtic since his arrival in 2017.

Tierney left boyhood club Celtic to join Arsenal in 2019 for a fee of around £25million.

The Scotland international has become a firm fan favourite at the Emirates after overcoming early injury problems.

The Stellar Group facilitated Tierney’s move to Arsenal and Edouard has now become a client of the agency.

Transfer expert Ian McGarry, who has reported on Arsenal’s interest in Edouard before, says the forward’s change of agent is a clear indication that he wants to move to the Premier League, and likely to a London-based club.

Man United signing this £37m PL star would get them a fantastic Matic successor

According to BBC Sport, Yves Bissouma has caught the eye of Manchester United. The Brighton midfielder has impressed since joining the club back in 2018 and has now been on the radar of several high-profile clubs such as United and Liverpool. Brighton are likely to demand £37million for the 24-year-old Mali international.

When Nemanja Matic arrived from Chelsea in 2017, he was seen as a real coup. He proved to be just the same as he formed the spine of the side that finished second that season. A cool, calm and collected presence at the base of midfield, Matic was often seen breaking down opposition play with ease and kick starting moves for the Red Devils.

The Brighton man has not attracted the attention of Manchester United without reason. Even though Brighton have fared poorly this season, Bissouma has kept on doing his job and is doing it all too well. While he is used to playing in a more central role, he has been used to good effect in a defensive role.

Bissouma is adept at carrying the ball from his own half to the opposition area. It is not easy to dispossess him off the ball. He is one of the reasons why Brighton are such a tricky team to deal with.
