Taiwo Awoniyi scored his third league goal of the season for his club Union Berlin in their Tuesday’s German Bundesliga match with Vfb Stuttgart.

Awoniyi who was on loan at the club from English champions Liverpool continued his excellent form for the club and has now notched three in goals in his last five league appearances for the club.

The former Mainz 05 striker scored Union Berlin’s second goal of the game in 70th minutes after he was pulled through by Christopher Lenz.

Marvin Friedrich scored Union Berlin’s first goal after four minutes, thanks to delightful assist from Christopher Trimmel’s.

Awoniyi who was unlucky not to score against Champions Bayern last weekend is now Nigerian leading scorer in Germany Bundesliga this season.

The match however ended in a 2 – 2 draw as Vfb Stuttgart fought back to snatch a draw with five minutes left to play.

Sasa Kalajdzic scored twice to pegged back Union Berlin and snatched a point for his club.

Philipp Klement and David Dalivi both set up Sasa Kalajdzic in the 85th minute and 90th minutes respectively.
