Chelsea have emerged as frontrunners to sign highly-rated Inter Milan wing-back Achraf Hakimi. PSG-Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder from Inter Milan this summer.
An official bid has been submitted by Paris Saint-Germain, but it was rejected by Inter Milan because it wasn’t up to the player selling price of £60m.
According to express.co.uk as reported by The Sun, Chelsea are the favorites to sign Achraf Hakimi this summer. The report says, Emerson Palmieri is an added advantage to Chelsea as he was once in the raider of Inter Milan.
The report also says Chelsea could use left-back Emerson Palmieri and center-back Andreas Christensen in a swap deal with cash to convince Inter Milan to Sell Achraf Hakimi to them.
Achraf Hakimi will make a good signing if Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea director of football Marina Granovskaia can make the deal go through.
Achraf Hakimi scored 7 goals and provided 9 assists in 45 appearances for Inter Milan and was pivotal in Inter Milan team as they went on to win the Serie A last season. This is a very decent performance for a player who plays in his role.
PSG- Paris Saint-Germain on the other hand, are also very much still in the race to sign Achraf Hakimi. PSG is well known for always paying a huge amount to get whatever player they want. The case of Achraf Hakimi is not an exception as a similar incident in which they paid huge fees to sign a player could repeat itself.
However, Chelsea fans have nothing to fear, because of the presence of club owner Roman Abramovich. The Russian businessman in recent times has shown that he is always ready to spend whatever amount it takes to move Chelsea to the top level in the football world.
