Chelsea Star Mason Mount Proves doubters wrong again as he shines in deeper midfield role for England

Mount has always been rated highly by anyone involved in the game from pundits, to Frank Lampard, to Gareth Southgate, that surely means something to his doubters.

Well, perhaps not. But then Mount is just proving himself on the pitch regardless, game by game he is turning in top performances, and he did it on the international stage once again last night helping England beat Ireland 3-0.

He was rated as the highest performer by The Sun’s rating piece last night getting an 8, and they were full of praise for him playing in a deeper centre midfield role, as were many others.

We know he is always more comfortable playing in the centre, this is where he really shines. He has been asked to play a lot on the wing for Chelsea, and whilst he has done a job there, he will always give you more playing centrally.

He will continue to prove the doubters wrong.
