Do You Agree With These Predictions For This Week’s Champions League Games? #UCL

Match day 6 of the 2020/2021 Uefa champions league group stages is upon us with some of our favorite teams battling for qualification into the next round.

Teams like Chelsea, Barcelona, Liverpool Juventus have all but sealed qualification with nothing but pride to play for. On the other hand, some of Europe big guns such as Manchester united, Real Madrid, Ajax are still in the danger of missing out on the round of 16.

Having said that, I’ll be dropping my predictions on how some of the matches could pan out this week… Stay tuned

Group A

Bayern munich vs Locomotiv Moscow

Bayern munich are expected field a strong side when they take on Locomotiv Moscow on Wednesday despite the home side having qualified already.

The Germans should easily dispatch the Russians with relative ease.

My predictions: Bayern munich 4 vs 0 Locomotiv Moscow

Salzburg vs Atletico Madrid

Salzburg play host to Atletico Madrid in a must win match for the home side if they are to qualify from group A. On the other hand Diego Simeone’s men just need a draw to seal a second spot just behind Bayern munich on the group A.

My predictions : Salzburg 1 vs 1 Atletico Madrid

Group B

Inter Milan vs Shaktar Doneskt

Qualification into the round of 16 from Group B is set to go down to the wire with all four teams still in the running for qualication.

Inter Milan who are currently last in that group welcome Ukrainian side Shaktar Doneskt in a must win match for both sides who would want to avoid dropping down to the Europa league

My predictions : Inter Milan 2 vs 1 Shaktar Doneskt

Real Madrid vs Borussia Moncheglabach

Zinedine Zidane’s men will be boosted by the timely return of captain Sergio Ramos to the team with the Spanish club in need of all the help they can get when they play group B table toppers Borussia Moncheglabach on Wednesday.

The away side only need to muster a draw inorder to qualify from the group and will be hoping to repeat their performance in the first leg performance against the Spanish league champions on Wednesday.

My predictions: Real Madrid 2 vs 1 Borussia Moncheglabach

Group C

Manchester city vs Marseille

With qualification already sealed, Pep Guardiola would have the opportunity of giving his key players a much needed rest ahead of the busy festive schedule.

However, the citizens are still expected to do justice to Marseille when these two teams meet at the Etihad stadium on Wednesday

My predictions: Manchester city 3 vs 0 Marseille

Group D

Ajax vs Atlanta

One of the most anticipated matches of this week’s champions league game also sees Ajax take on Atlanta in a do-or-die affair with champions league qualification to the knockout rounds at stake.

This one would go down to the wire

My predictions : Ajax 2 vs 2 Atlanta

Midjtylland vs Liverpool

Danish side are already out of the the champions league this season, but would be presented with the opportunity of leaving on a high when they play Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Wednesday.

Liverpool are expected to field their second team, but should still have enough fire power to see off the home side.

My predictions : Midjtylland 0 vs 2 Liverpool

Group E

Chelsea vs Krasnodar

An in-form Chelsea host Russian side Krasnodar at Stamford bridge on Tuesday. Going by the Russians first leg demolition at the hands of the blues, this might be a very very long night for Krasnodar who are only looking for a draw to book their place in the Europa league.

My predictions: Chelsea 4 vs 0 Krasnodar

Rennes vs Sevilla

Sevilla needs to get back their confidence after a disastrous week saw them lose two consecutive games to Real Madrid and Chelsea.

Rennes on the other hand will be playing for pride with the Ligue 1 side already out of the running for qualification from the group.

My predictions: Rennes 0 vs 2 Sevilla

Group F

Lazio vs Club Brugge

Second placed Lazio are at home to third placed Club brugge when they meet for the second time this season with a loss for either sides signaling a drop to the Uefa Europa league.

My predictions: Lazio 3 vs 2 Club Brugge

Zenith vs Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund would be on a tough quest to seal top spot qualification from group F.

Dortmund will be missing as many as eight key players in that match, and will need certain players in top form if they are to leave Russia with a win

My predictions: Zenith st Petersburg 1 vs 1 Dortmund

Group G

Barcelona vs Juventus

All eyes will be on Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo when they their teams face off once more in the final UCL group game for both sides this season.

With both sides already qualified, these teams will just be playing for bragging rights

My predictions : Barcelona 3 vs 2 Juventus

Group H

Rb Leipzig vs Manchester united

Last week’s loss to Paris Saint German meant Manchester united would need at least a point in their final game to book a round of 16 spot.

However, they face a stern test in the form of Rb Leipzig who are also level on point with the English side and need a win to qualify from the tough Group. This promises to be an entertaining game

My predictions: Leipzig 1 vs 3 Manchester united

PSG vs Istanbul Basakeshir

PSG would look to do the double over their UCL group stage counter parts Istanbul Basakeshir when they face eachother on Tuesday evening.

PSG needs a win from this game if they are to stand any chances of topping this Group while Istanbul Basakeshir are already down and out in terms of qualification from the group.

This might be a very long night for the Turkish side.

My predictions: PSG 4 vs 0 Istanbul Basakeshir
