DONE DEAL: £68m Rated Player Reportedly Edging Closer to Join Chelsea, Deal Imminent

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly poised to bolster his squad following a string of injuries and unusual covid-19 cases at the Cobham training complex.
Tuchel’s side has arguably struggled for form recently due to the absence of numerous key players, with senior members of the squad supposedly planning to leave Stamford Bridge either for not playing or having their contracts expire.
According to Football London, Chelsea are still working on a deal for French and Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, with the 22-year-old captain apparently getting closer to signing at Stamford Bridge.
Kounde is seen as a perfect alternative for either Antonio Rudiger, who is wanted by both Manchester United and Real Madrid, or Thiago Silva, who is out of contract with the UEFA Champions League winners.
Kounde was on the verge of joining Chelsea, but their offer failed to persuade Sevilla to accept it, and now the London-based heavyweights are reiterating their desire to get Kounde during the already-opened January transfer window
