Done Deals, Dzeko Offered To Man UTD, Chelsea To Rival Real Madrid For Midfielder

Getafe have signed centre-back Sofian Chakla from Villarreal on loan until the end of the season.

Real Valladolid

Real Valladolid have signed Kenan Kodro from Athletic Bilbao on loan until the end of the season.

The are reportedly possible transfer suitors for Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, rivalling Real Madrid for his signature. And according to a report, Chelsea could have the edge in the race to sign Camavinga, with his agent Jonathan Barnett not keen for his client to move to Spain.

The London giants supporters will no doubt hope their club can end up beating Real Madrid to France international, with the midfielder looking an outstanding prospect. Still only 18 years of age, Eduardo is already quite experienced in Ligue 1 and has three caps for the senior French national team.

Blues are said to be looking at improving their midfield, with the 18-year-old midfielder being eyed as an upgrade on the unconvincing Jorginho. Chelsea fans would surely be happy with that, with the English boss still looking in need of reinforcements despite a summer of big spending.

Manchester City

Manchester City are closing in on a deal to sign highly-rated Brazilian duo Kayky and Metinho from Fluminense.

The two 17-year-olds have been linked with a move to Shakhtar Donetsk, but Goal reports that City have won the race. A deal for both players is expected to cost the Premier League side £9million.

Speaking to Globo Esporte, Fluminense President Mario Bittencourt said: “City informed us that they will make an official offer for these two players.”

Kayky has been likened to Brazil superstar Neymar, while Metinho has cited Paul Pogba as a player he looks up to. It is likely both players will be loaned out to other City Group clubs once signed.

Pep Guardiola had been linked with signing a new striker this month due to the ongoing injury problems to Sergio Aguero.

However, Guardiola confirmed that the club would not be making any signings that would add to his first team squad.

Guardiola told beIN Sports: “We will not sign any deal during the winter transfer market. We did not discuss this, but we will end the season with the players that we have now.”

The London giants have reportedly joined the running for the transfer of Man City centre-back Eric Garcia in a shock development. The 20-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move back to Barcelona, but it now seems like the Gunners have also made an approach in an attempt to hijack the agreement.

The report notes that the Spanish manager knows Eric well from his time on Man City’s coaching team, and it will be interesting to see if that can give him some edge in this transfer battle. One imagines Garcia would prefer Barcelona to Gunners at this moment in time, though in truth neither club is exactly in the best place right now.

Spain international was at Camp Nou as a teenager and the Catalan giants would do well to bring him back as a long-term replacement for the ageing Gerard Pique, but it could be that that is now in some doubt.

Liverpool have reportedly made an opening bid of around £45million for the transfer of Juventus defender Merih Demiral.

The Turkey international is a promising young player who hasn’t had that many regular first-team opportunities at Juve, which has led to his future being in some doubt.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have been linked with Demiral in the past and are still in urgent need of a new signing to boost their options in central defence.

However, Sky Italia claim Juventus have turned down Liverpool’s opening offer for Demiral, so it remains to be seen if a deal can be struck.

The Reds would do well to go back in for the 22-year-old, but Jurgen Klopp has seemed somewhat reluctant to spend big money to fix his team’s problems this January.

Demiral seems an ideal choice due to his potential availability, but Juventus may also feel they want to keep this promising option for the future.

Manchester United

Premier League giants, Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to secure services of AS Roma attacker Edin Dzeko in the final stages of the current transfer window.

The 34-year-old has found back of the net 114 times in 242 games for his Italian team, including eight strikes in 20 games in all competitions during the 2020-21 season.

Dzeko might have played his last game for I Giallorossi, though, having fallen out with the teams manager, Paulo Fonseca.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils have been offered the opportunity to secure the services of the striker as a replacement for Odion Ighalo, who has seen his loan spell at the team come to an end.

Dzeko found back of the net 72 times in 189 game during his time with Manchester City, including 50 goals in 130 Premier League games between 2011 and 2016
