DONE DEALS, Ozil To End Arsenal Contract, Barcelona To Sign Man Utd Defender And More

Done deal: Crawley sign James Tilley

Former Albion midfielder James Tilley has joined Crawley on a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for a third.

The 22-year-old joined on a free transfer last night after his release from fellow League Two side Grimsby on Thursday.

Tiley, who is from Billingshurst spent nine years with Albion, where he progressed through the ranks.

However, he only managed to make two senior appearances during his time at the club.

Done deal: Bastien Héry joins Bohemians from Linfield

Bohemians have signed former France underage international Bastien Héry from Linfield.

The 28-year-old midfielder, who began his career with Paris Saint-Germain, spent five years in England before spells with Limerick and Waterford in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Héry joined Linfield in the summer of 2019 and helped them win the Irish Premiership in his debut season.

“Bastien is a high-quality player with great experience, ability and personality,” said Bohemians manager Keith Long.

Borussia Dortmund identify Dutchman to replace Jadon Sancho – Manchester United must provide funds

Borussia Dortmund have identified PSV Eindhoven star Donyell Malen as the replacement for Jadon Sancho, should he make the move to Manchester United this summer.

Malen is seen as the successor to Jadon Sancho at the club, with the forward having been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United for the best part of the last year.

Were Manchester United to pay Sancho’s reported €100m asking price, this would give Dortmund enough money to sign Malen, who has a €50m asking price at PSV. This is the only way BVB can complete the deal.

That, though, is a tricky affair in itself, as we discovered last summer when months of speculation about a move to Old Trafford ended with Sancho staying in Germany and Manchester United signing Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo instead.

Barcelona set to offer Man United £9.7m for on-loan defender

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot and could even be tempted to offer the Red Devils £9.7m (€11m) for the Portuguese defender.

However, according to reports in Spain, Dalot’s performances are catching the attention of La Liga giants Barcelona who are reportedly keen to land the 21-year-old.

A written report from outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t MilanNews) claim Ronald Koeman could offer United £9.7m for Dalot.

However, despite Barcelona’s interest, there are still some suggestions that AC Milan may look to secure Dalot on a permanent basis once his loan ends during the summer.

Ozil to end Arsenal contract, move to Turkey: report

Arsenal and midfielder Mesut Ozil have reached an agreement in principle to terminate the German’s contract six months before it expires so he can seal a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce, The Athletic reported on Saturday.

Ozil, 32, has not played for Arsenal since last March and was left out of the their Premier League and Europa League squads at the start of the season.

Turkish media reported earlier this month that Fenerbahce would sign the former Germany international, who has Turkish ancestry, for three and a half years.

Arteta said earlier this month that if a deal could be agreed that was “good for both parties”, Ozil would leave during the January transfer window. (Reuters)
