Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists it is “too soon” to make a decision on France international striker Olivier Giroud’s future despite the striker having only a matter of months remaining on his deal, reports the Mirror.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd chasing Konate

Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd are all interested in RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate, reports Bild. All three clubs were keen on Dayot Upamecano, who recently signed with Bayern Munich, and have now turned their attention toward his talented defensive partner.

Ex-Arsenal Star Urges Balogun To Leave The Gunners

Arsenal former striker Benik Afobe has urged Folarin Balogun to leave the Emirates Stadium outfit as he is behind at least three players in Mikel Arteta’s pecking order of attackers. The American-born Nigerian wonderkid is in the final four months of his contract with the north London club and it is believed talks on a new deal have stalled.

Awoniyi Reiterates Desire To Return To Liverpool

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi has reiterated his desire to return to his parent club Liverpool on the expiration of his loan deal with Union Berlin.

Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2015, the Super Eagles hopeful has also taken in loan spells at FSV Frankfurt, NEC, Royal Excel Mouscron, KAA Gent and Mainz 05 due to a work permit obstacle.

Awoniyi has had an eventful campaign so far at Union Berlin and has made himself undroppable with a goal involvement of eight in his last fourteen appearances in the Bundesliga. With the new rules in England, the former Nigeria U23 international stands a good chance of getting a work permit before the start of the 2021-2022 season.

“Liverpool will always be the priority for me and I am grateful to everyone at the club,” Awoniyi told World Soccer Magazine (via Liverpool Echo).

“I still don’t have the work permit to play in England. But with the new rules in place, and the minutes I have played in Germany this season, no one knows what the future will hold regarding the UK work permit. If I become eligible to play in the UK, I think I can have a say on what my decision will be. Things have changed remarkably with the new rules and this will certainly help me decide my next step.”

DONE DEAL: George Glendon signs new deal at Chester FC

Chester Football Club has announced that George Glendon has signed a contract for the 2021/22 campaign. The Club Captain will remain with the Blues next season after putting pen to paper on a new deal.

Inter Miami have completed the signing of defender Ryan Shawcross on a free transfer. Shawcross joins the MLS side after 14 years with Stoke City, having made more than 400 appearances for the Potters. The 33-year-old was contracted at the Bet365 Stadium until the end of this season but his contract was terminated by mutual consent ahead of a move to Miami.
