The New Year ushered us into matchday 17 of the English Premier League. While other leagues were on the festival break, the EPL was still on to give excitement to its fans.

Manchester United’s good run of form in the league continued with a victory which puts them level on points with Liverpool with a game in hand.

As for Frank Lampard and Chelsea, their woes continued after a shambolic display at home which saw City run riot on them.
