EPL: The Premier League Table, Top Goalscorers, Top Assist, And Clean Sheet As At Game Week 14



The 2020/21 season of the English Premier League is gradually nearing the halfway line. The month of December has always proven to be the toughest area of the battlefield and teams in the league are currently at loggerhead with each other.

14 matchdays have come and gone, but the coming days are going to be not only hectic but decisive.

Let’s briefly do a review of statistics as it stands now in the league.

Table Standings

Defending champions Liverpool maintain top position after 14 matches played so far and will be looking at keeping it so come Boxing and New Year’s Day fixtures

Leicester City, Manchester United (With a game in hand), & Everton make up the top 4 teams.

The duo of Manchester City and Manchester United have a game in hand. A win will lift them to the table.

As for Arsenal, the Gunners sit just 4 points below the relegation zone. Sheffield United are still without a win and occupy the bottom spot.

Just as it is getting heated on the league table, the race for the Golden Boot is also picking momentum.

Liverpool’s Mo Salah currently tops the chart with 13 goals scored so far. Last season winner Jamie Vardy alongside DCL & Son is all tied on 11 goals.

Tammy Abraham is the highest-scoring player for Chelsea with 5 goals, while Bruno Fernandes leads the line for United with 9.

Harry Kane has been banging in goals and also creating a lot. The England captain is comfortably above De Bruyne and even Bruno Fernandes.

Clean Sheet

Arsenal’s ex goalie is the king of the gloves after 14 matches. Chelsea’s Mendy, City’s Ederson & Spur’s Lloris make up the top 4.

Here are some exciting fixtures to look out for on Boxing Day as you enjoy the holiday.

The biggest certainly is the London Derby between struggling Arsenal and Chelsea. Leicester vs Manchester United is also a mouth-watering encounter.
