EPL: What Chelsea Star Said After Their Dour Draw Against Spurs

Chelsea and Tottenham failed to fully capitalise on Liverpool’s slip-up as Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho oversaw a tightly contested 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Yet despite a bright start in Sunday’s London derby, with Timo Werner having a goal disallowed, neither side could make the breakthrough in what was an encounter short of clear chances.

Here is what Ben Chilwell said after the game.

Chelsea full-back Ben Chilwell, speaking to Sky Sports: “The game was on a knife-edge. I think both sides were tactically pretty good so we’re happy with the clean sheet.

“When you’ve got a strikeforce like they have, we as defenders have to concentrate for the whole 90 minutes and the clean sheet was very important.

“Points are crucial and neither team wanted to give the other side any points. We’d have loved to win the game at Stamford Bridge against our rivals but we needed to keep a clean sheet.”
