Chelsea’s Timo Werner (£9.4m) scored his fourth goal in four Premier League matches in the Blues’ 4-1 thrashing of Sheffield Utd in Gameweek 8.
Tammy Abraham (£7.2m) found the net in the same fixture and he has now accumulated 13 points from the last two gameweeks after an assist in
Gameweek 7 against Burnley.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard appears to have found a place in the side for both forwards if the last two league matches are anything to go by.
Next for Chelsea is a trip to Newcastle in Gameweek 9. Whilst Abraham is considerably cheaper than Werner, the German’s place in the side is likely more secure. For that reason, plus the fact that he finally seems to have found his feet in the Premier League, we’re playing it safe and going for Werner here.
Verdict: Timo Werner
