Frank Lampard facing sack as Chelsea board considers other alternatives

Following Chelsea’s latest 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, new reports from the Athletic claims Frank Lampard is currently under fire at Chelsea.
Chelsea are currently on a rough patch as they have only won just one game out of their last six.
This recent run of bad form follows a seventeen game unbeaten run and also an unbeaten run in the Champions League group stage.
Frank Lampard joined Chelsea in the summer of 2019 and didn’t make any personal signing in his first year of management at the club.
In the summer of 2020, he made six new first team signing worth in excess of £200M.
Chelsea were then expected to mount a serious title challenge following the big strengthening of the squad.
Despite just being 7 points of the top of the table, Chelsea fans have lost all hope of a title challenge and are now calling for the head of Frank Lampard.
According to recent reports from The Athletic, Frank Lampard’s job at Chelsea is now under serious threat.
The report further stated that Chelsea board are now seriously considering other alternatives if Frank Lampard is shown the exit door.
Though no name was mentioned, there are a few managers who have been tipped for a possible Chelsea job.
Former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel and former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri have both been tipped to succeed Frank Lampard.
Both are currently free agents and aren’t tied to any club
