Hakim Ziyech and Bruno Fernandes made Matchweek eight team of the week

Matchweek ended as Leicester City are currently leading in the Premier league title race, seconded by Tottenham and followed by Liverpool and Chelsea.

Here are the players who made matchweek eight team of the week.

Goalkeeper:

Nick Pope(Burnley)

The England international was impressive behind the sticks despite his team still wondering in the bottom half.

Central Defence:

 

Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur):

The England international was Tottenham’s best player in the poor first half after making two big interceptions before Harry Kane snatched a late goal.

 

Aaron Cresswell(Westham):

Cresswell played as a left centre back for the Hammers and was outstanding earning a spot in the team.

Fullback:

Wesley Fofana(Leicester City):

Wesley made two fantastic intervention to deny Wolverhampton Wanderers during the Foxes 1-0 win.

Kyle Walker-Peter’s(Southampton):

He was at his best after shutting Miguel Almirion to win possession for his side in the lead up to the first goal.

Midfield:

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United):

The Portuguese international won the man of the match award after scoring two goals and provided assist for Edison Cavani’s goal.

Stuart Armstrong(Southampton):

Armstrong caused problem for Newcastle and also scored his first goal of the season.

Hakim Ziyech (Chelsea):

After impressing in his first Premier league start for Chelsea, he was even better against Sheffield United. He was part of the build up for Tammy Abraham’s goal. He provided assist for Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva’s goal.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace):

The youngster was excellent in his performance against Leeds United. He assisted Scott Dan’s corner and also score as he won the man of the match award.

Forward:

Olie Watkins(Aston Villa):

Olie Watkins brace against the Gunners earned him a spot in the Premier league team of the week.

Che Adams(Southampton):

Che Adams stepped in for the missing Danny Ings and scored in the Saint’s 2-0 win against Newcastle.
