Liverpool FC star nets a brace as Netherlands defeat Bosnia to move top of their group

Liverpool football club of England midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum netted a brace for Frank de Boer led Netherlands national team, as they defeated Dusan Bajevic’s Bosnia and Herzegovina national team 3-1 at Johan Cruijff’s Arena on Sunday evening, to move to the top of group A in the UEFA Nations League.
Wijnaldum who has been superb for both club and country recently continues his excellent performance on Saturday as he netted a brace in the first half.
Coach Frank de Boer gave the Liverpool star another starting role after his outstanding performance against Spain last week.
The Dutch team opened scoring through Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum in the 6th minutes after receiving an assist from Denzel Dumfries, and he doubled the lead in the 14th minutes with a fine goal, through an assist from Steven Berghuis, to end the first half 2-0.
Olympique Lyon star Memphis Depay scored another goal in the 55th minutes, through an assist from Denzel Dumfries, before Smail Prevljak scored a cancelation goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, to end the match 3-1 in favour of the home team.
?? Georginio Wijnaldum was outstanding for the host in the game, before he was replaced by Manchester United star Donny Van de Beek in the 65th minutes, and his brace against Bosnia and Herzegovina national team means he has now scored 12 goals in his last 19 international appearances.
The 3-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina has taken Netherlands to the top spot of the group A table 1 of the UEFA Nations League with 8 points from 5 matches played
