Following games across Europe during the midweek, we take a look at Nigerian players who made the country proud with some impressive display for their club during the midweek.

So we make a team out of those players.

Here is our team of the week

Formation 4-4-2

Goalkeeper – Osigwe

The goalkeeper helps his side to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday against St. Gallen on Wednesday night. The game finished goalless as both teams share points on Wednesday.

Left-back- Jamilu Collins

Right-back- Ola Aina

The Nigerian was among the Fulham players that kept a clean sheet against Brighton on Wednesday night in the Premier League. The defender does his defensive duties well throughout the game.

Central midfielder – Etebo

The Nigeria midfielder helps Galatasaray to defeat Darica Genclerbirligi 1-0 on Tuesday evening. The midfielder who sat at the base of Galatasaray midfield and help to get hold of the game on Tuesday evening.

Central midfielder- Ramon Azeez

The Nigeria midfielder was given a rare starting shirt in the Granada Copa del Rey clash with AD San Juan on Thursday evening. The midfielder last the entire duration of the game as his side earn a 2-0 victory to qualify for the next stage.

Attacking midfielder – Alex Iwobi

The Everton midfielder was outstanding in his 2-0 victory over Leicester City on Wednesday night. The midfielder provides the assist for his side’s first goal in the game.

Attacking midfielder – Ovie Ejaria

The Reading midfielder provides the assist for his side goal against Norwich on Wednesday night. Although the midfielder could not prevent his side from losing as the game finished 2-1 in favour of Norwich

Striker – Kayode Olanrewaju

The Nigerian striker scores his first domestic cup goal for Sivasspor against Giresunspor on Thursday night. The striker was brought in as a second-half substitute in the game and score the only goal in the game

Striker – Taiwo Awoniyi

Taiwo Awoniyi scores his third goal of the season for Union Berlin on Tuesday night 2-2 draw with Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. The striker scored a beautiful header in the game
