Manchester City are five points clear at the top of the English Premier League standings after they thrashed current champions Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield and Manchester United were held to an entertaining 3-3 draw at home to Everton. City are on 50 points, five points clear of Manchester United and with a game in hand.
Leicester are third on 43 points after they were held to a goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool meanwhile are in fourth on 40 points, one point ahead of fifth place Chelsea who beat Sheffield United 2-1.
All the bottom three teams fail to win during this game week, Fulham held West Ham United to a goalless draw to remain in 18th on 15 points, West Bromwich Albion lost to sixth place Tottenham to remain in 19th place on 12 points and Sheffield United are rock bottom on 12 points after losing to Chelsea.
Mohamed Salah was in target for Liverpool in their 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Salah leads the goalscorers chart on 16 goals and he is three goals ahead of Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United and Tottenham duo of Son Heung-Min and Harry Kane.
Harry Kane leads the assists standings on 11, he is two ahead of Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne with Bruno Fernandes on 9 assists.
Emiliano Martinez kept another clean sheet in Aston Villa’s win over Arsenal, Martinez has 11 clean sheets so far this season and he is only second to Ederson Moraes of Manchester City with Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy in third with 10.
