It’s not compulsory to sign big money players before winning trophies. Academy players are more excellent than some players involving big money transfers.
Barcelona spent over €250m on Philipe Countinho and Ousmane Dembele.

PSG signed Neymar for a fee of €222m from Barcelona. Neymar is one of the best footballers in Ligue 1. PSG failed to win the UEFA Champions League title. Lille won the Ligue 1 title in 2020/2021 season. Chelsea spent €223m in signing Ben Chillwell, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva. Chelsea won the 2021 UEFA Champions League title.
