Champions League score: PSG vs Man City live updates plus Porto vs Liverpool latest, team news, TV channel, start time

Paris Saint-Germain host Manchester City in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

It is a huge game between two of the most talented teams in the world. There will also be a reunion for Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola, who worked so fruitfully together at Barcelona nearly a decade ago.

Elsewhere, Liverpool travel to face Porto in their second group game.

Team news for PSG vs Man City

Ilkay Gundogan is out for the visitors, as is Oleksandr Zinchenko. Aymeric Laporte and Rodri are available again, along with John Stones.

PSG will be able to call on Lionel Messi, who has returned from an injury. Mauricio Pochettino did not confirm Messi would start but said he’d be in the squad.

Marco Verratti could also be involved after recovering from a knee problem.

Where to watch PSG vs Man City

In the United Kingdom, PSG vs Man City is available on BT Sport 2. The game kicks off at 8pm in the UK.

In the United States, the game will be shown on Paramount+. The match kicks off at 3pm Eastern Time.

Manchester City’s team news

The starting line-up: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Cancelo, Rodrigo, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Sterling, Grealish

Substitutes: Steffen, Carson, Stones, Ake, Jesus, Torres, Fernandinho, Foden, McAtee, Wilson-Esbrand.

That’s an interesting selection from Guardiola, who leaves Foden on the bench and appears to have picked Sterling as his main man up front

Messi has struggled to shine for PSG

Messi is yet to score for PSG and has not been at his best for the side from the French capital.

This – it must be said – was anticipated by The Athletic’s Michael Cox.
