Sarri signs for Blues as Chelsea coach promotes five Academy youngsters to first team training



Blues Ladies confirmed the signing of Veatriki Sarri(not Maurizio Sarri) on an 18 months contract from Championship side Sheffield united, a deal which the fee will be kept secrete until the summer of 2022.

Sarri’s Move to Blues will enable her reunite with her former boss Carla Ward after she became Blues Women’s Head Coach in August 2020.

The Greek international have shown that she is the real deal after impressing and earning her self a regular first team shirt in Sheffield United under Ward in 2018. She also won her self multiple honours at senior international level and featured in Greece’s qualification matches for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Frank Lampard Promotes 5 Academy Players

According to Latest reports, Chelsea gaffer Frank Lampard has bolstered his first team squad with young talented players ahead of their FA Cup third round tie with Morecambe on weekend.

The Blues take on League Two side, Morecambe. The game was originally in doubt following a Covid-19 outbreak in the Shrimps camp. However, the game is now expected to go ahead.

Chelsea winger Faustino Anjorin and Lewis Bate could be in contention to face Morecambe. Anjorin, Bate, Lawrence and Livramento have all been training with the first-team since last week.

Meanwhile, another youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell also joined in on Wednesday.

Hopefully, the blues will look to return to form with Morecambe as they have been in shambles in their last 5 EPL games. A win will bolster their confidence to play Fulham in the League after their FA Cup Clash on Sunday
