These 2 Players Should Be Sold By Chelsea This January As They Have No Future At The Club.

The January transfer window is open and a good number of players would be making a switch to a new club. As we’ve seen in the past, only a few players have been able to get the move to a bigger club due to the fact that the smaller clubs would rather lose a player in the summer rather than the middle of the season. But still, some clubs have been able to get a quality player and also offload some players whom they consider surplus to requirements.
In Chelsea, there are a good number of players who should be sold this January to provide space for the young players. Players like Barkley and Ruben Loftus Cheek were loaned out in August but the number of non-performing players are still high. Marcus Alonso, Danny Drinkwater, Andreas Christensen are examples of players who should be sold or loaned out. But who among these aforementioned names are more likely to be sold or should be sold? Here are the 2 names below….
1. Marcus Alonso.
The Spanish ful back has been at the club for as long as I can recall but it’s been a rough few seasons for him. An attack minded player who can come up with goals at crucial moments but his defensive frailties have let him down on a good number of occasions. With the arrival of Ben Chilwell, he has found himself further down the pecking order so a move would appeal to both the player and the club.
2. Danny Drinkwater.
This is another who has had a torrid time at Stamford Bridge. A bright light for Leicester City in their premier league winning campaign, his move to London has not worked out well at all. In fact, he is not even in the first team frame at the moment so a move away should be prioritised by the player and Chelsea.
Mind you that the blues would not really need the services of these two players as there summer signings are performing wonderfully well. Hakim Ziyech, Pulisic, Kai, Timo are all performing well so the club can afford to cut some players off the wage bills
