Timo Werner, Gilmour, Mount, Hakim Ziyech All Smiles In Training As Chelsea Prepare For #UCL. #CHEREN

Chelsea continued their preparations for the Champions league game against Franch outfit Rennes at Cobham today.

The blues have had a quite remarkable last few games and as things stand, the future is looking great for Frank Lampard’s men. New signings Timo Werner and Kai Harvetz, even Hakim Ziyech have hit the ground running and are already racking up the numbers for Chelsea this season.

Former PSG defender Thiago Silva have also been hugely influential as he has helped the team tighten up at the back and has kept 4 clean sheets on the bounce.

In Chelsea last game against Burnley, the blues were dominant and earned rave reviews in the media and all over Europe. Christian Pulisic is one member of the blues squad whose progress this season has been hampered by injuries.

The American got another injury last Saturday but in Lampard’s press conference today, he confirmed that the injury was a minor one and even though Pulisic will not feature tomorrow, he can play the following game after. A huge boost to Chelsea and the fan base.

Mason Mount, kai Harvetz and Ngolo Kante looked solid as a midfield 3 against Burnley and one would wonder if Frank Lampard would stick with the players and the formation. But there may be some changes however for fringe player to participate nicely. The game against Rennes is not an easy one despite the odds and they showed that when they played Sevilla. Chelsea are currently top of the group so a win will solidify their chances of topping the group.
