Welcome back to the Sports Extral LIVE coverage of all the latest transfer news as clubs plan ahead for the January window, which is now less than two weeks away from opening.

Chelsea spent over £200million in the summer window, and signings like Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Edouard Mendy have endured mixed fortunes at Stamford Bridge, which could lead to more business being conducted by Frank Lampard in the New Year.

Transfer News and Rumours LIVE: Latest Updates From Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona - News18

Arsenal, meanwhile, will be desperate for new additions in January following a torrid run of form that has heaped pressure upon manager Mikel Arteta, with the Gunners said to be closing in on a deal for Hertha Berlin’s Omar Rekik after missing out on the RB Leipzig-bound Dominink Szoboszlai. Brighton’s Yves Bissouma is another player linked with the club.

Away day specialists Manchester United will once again be linked with top targets such as Jadon Sancho, though the latest reports suggest they are ready to reignite their interest in Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez.

As for Liverpool, serious injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez leave them short at the back – and Schalke’s Ozan Kabak remains a potential January option, with Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma also said to be on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.

The Lionel Messi to Manchester City speculation is also set to ramp up a notch with the Argentine able to sign pre-contract terms in January, while there are rumours that Gedson Fernandes could return to Benfica from Tottenham soon.

Salah unhappy at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah is unhappy at Liverpool and the club are looking into sell him, according to his former international team-mate Mohamed Aboutrika.

“I called Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but that would never affect his performance on the field,” Aboutrika told beIN Sports.

“I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public. One of the reasons that made Salah angry was that he was not the captain against Midtjylland.”

Real Madrid confident of signing Mbappe

Real Madrid are confident of signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe next summer, report 90min.

A long-time target despite his young age, Mbappe has been tracked by Madrid for over two years.

Mbappe will have just a year left on his PSG contract come the summer, which is when Madrid will make their move. Though a fee in excess of the £200m world record fee Neymar commanded is expected to be broken.

Arsenal want Bissouma

Arsenal are the latest club to show interest in Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, reports the Express.

Manchester United and Liverpool are also circling for the 24-year-old after a string of impressive displays on the south coast.

Frank Lampard is very keen to bring Rice back to the club he left as a youngster.

But uncertainty over Paul Pogba’s future means United are expected to come in for the versatile midfielder.

Ole wants Saul again

Manchester United are ready to revive their interest in Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez, according to reports in Spain.

The 26-year-old was a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer but a move never materialised.

Now Todo Fichajes claim Saul is United’s top target to replace Paul Pogba with a £63million bid in the offing.

However, Atletico are likely to hold out for much closer to Saul’s £135m release clause fee.

The big challenge for the returning Castagne and Evans will be keeping these two quiet…

Jones headed for United exit?

The Star say that Manchester United forgotten man Phil Jones could be set for a January loan move to West Brom.

The 28-year-old is not in United’s Premier League squad as he recovers from injury and is unlikely to get first team football at Old Trafford, so an exit could be on the cards.

New Baggies manager Sam Allardyce worked with Jones at Blackburn, while the report touts Derby – currently under interim management of former teammate Wayne Rooney – as another possible destination.

Barca set for Depay bargain?

So while it could be bad news for Barcelona in their pursuit of one Dutchman, in could be good news in the chase for another.

French outlet L’Equipe are reporting that the Catalan giants could be set to seal a cut-price deal for Memphis Depay for as little as £4.5million.

Depay came close to making the switch to the Nou Camp in the summer and is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning the Ligue 1 club could look to cash in now.

Inter to enter Wijnaldum race

Tuttomercatoweb say Inter Milan will enter the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman is out of contract next summer and will be free to negotiate with European clubs from January 1, with a view to leaving on a free transfer.

He has been regularly linked with Barcelona, where former Dutch manager Ronald Koeman is manager – for now at least – but it sounds as if Antonio Conte may once again look for a cheap raid on the Premier League.

Solskjaer fires Pogba warning

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Paul Pogba that no one is bigger than the club.

Solskjaer has been engaged in a public war of words with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola over the last few weeks over the Frenchman’s future and yesterday said: “I would just not stand for anyone thinking that he is bigger than Manchester United.
