Transfer news LIVE!

The summer window is open and clubs are stepping up their efforts to sign and sell players.

Manchester United have finally signed long-time no1 target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, for a ‘fixed transfer fee of £73million’. The young Englishman could be joined at Old Trafford by Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane, while Juan Mata has signed a new contract and goalkeeper Tom Heaton has returned on a two-year deal.

Arsenal keeping tabs on Ramos

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Sergio Ramos and have asked to be kept updated regarding any future talks regarding the former Real Madrid captain.

The 35-year-old Spain legend is a free agent after leaving Real Madrid at the end of his contract and is considering his next move.

Ramos has been strongly linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year deal but Goal claim Arsenal could consider a move him if that deal does not materialise

Chelsea ‘open contract talks with Christensen’

Chelsea have opened talks over a new contract with defender Andreas Christensen, according to the Athletic.

Christensen has taken his form for club and country to a new level and has been a key player in the Denmark team that has reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.

The 25-year-old is in the final year of his Chelsea deal, which runs until 2022.

Manchester City are ready to once again splash the cash as they target huge deals for both Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, though managing to prise the pair away from Tottenham and Aston Villa respectively will prove difficult, with Villa confident of Grealish agreeing fresh terms to stay put

Arsenal, meanwhile, face being gazumped by Everton in the race for Ben White but the Gunners are reportedly keeping tabs on former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos. Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares is flying in for a medical and Arsenal have made improved offer for Anderlecht star Albert Sambi Lokonga. They have also made an opening bid for Manuel Locatelli and are rumoured to be chasing Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski as well as Leicester’s James Maddison.

Liverpool are believed to be considering an offer for Saul Niguez with Porto’s Otavio and Nicolo Barella of Inter Milan also firmly on the radar as well as a potential battle with Arsenal for Renato Sanches, while Chelsea are rumoured to be pondering an approach for Barcelona outcast Miralem Pjanic after allowing Billy Gilmour to join Norwich on loan.

Tottenham’s transfer activity will step up a gear now Nuno Espirito Santo has been confimed as their new manager and they are trying to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna. Nuno reportedly wants to meet Harry Kane for talks over his future before the striker goes on holiday after Euro 2020.

Lionel Messi’s future also remains unresolved with PSG linked with an audacious deal after his Barcelona contract expired

Lokonga latest as Arsenal chase deal

Arsenal are still yet to get a deal for Albert Sambi Lokonga over the line.

Standard Sport reported earlier this week that the Gunners were confident of signing the 21-year-old Belgian midfielder, with the latest negotiations with Anderlecht understood to be progressing well after an original offer worth £13m was rejected last month.

It is thought that Lokonga is keen to move to Arsenal and there is confidence among all parties that a deal will get done this summer.

However, it’s clearly not over just yet, with the player – who was on Belgium’s standby list for Euro 2020 – this weekend named by Anderlecht in a 38-man squad to embark upon a six-day pre-season training camp in Alkmaar that will feature two friendlies against Eredivisie sides AZ and Utrecht.

Vlahovic to snub Tottenham interest?

It seems that Tottenham are destined for disappointment in their hopes of signing Dusan Vlahovic.

Spurs have been linked with the highly-rated 21-year-old Serbian striker, who has impressed in Serie A for Fiorentina after joining from Partizan Belgrade in 2018.

However, Corriere dello Sport now report that Vlahovic wants to sign a new contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, where has scored 29 goals in 84 appearances to date.

Guendouzi to France

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is closing in on a move to French side Marseille, report Goal.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Hertha Berlin after falling out of Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Gunners defender William Saliba could also be set to join the club on loan.

Pjanic and Umtiti on a free?

Barcelona have offered to pay off the contracts of Miralem Pjanic and Samuel Umitit, Goal report.

The Spanish club are keen to free up space and money in their squad this summer and – despite Pjanic only joining from Juventus last summer – could pay the pair off.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Pjanic this month.

Ryan heading to Spain

Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan is set for Spain with Sky Sports reporting that a fee has been agreed with Real Sociedad.

Ryan spent the second half of last season on loan with Arsenal and, while there was some interest in bringing the Australian back, a move was never made by the Gunners.

The goalkeeper is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days

Shaw and Sancho relishing United fun

Jadon Sancho and Luke Shaw both impressed with England last night and are looking forward to linking up at Manchester United in the new season.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Shaw said: “He showed people why we’re buying him and of course, even though I was on the pitch, I was really impressed with his performance.

“I’m obviously looking forward to him becoming a Manchester United player and I will keep getting on to him to keep those high standards up.

“Today I was really happy and proud of his performance.”

Sancho added: “Yeah, Luke is a great lad. I always have a good relationship with him, Marcus [Rashford] and Harry [Maguire] so it’s going to be fun

Liverpool and Arsenal in for Sanches

Liverpool and Arsenal are both keen on a deal for Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches.

French outlet Onze Mondial report that the two Premier League sides are keeping a keen eye on the Lille man.

Sanches, who endured a torrid loan spell with Swansea earlier in his career, shone for Ligue 1 winners Lille last season and has impressed at Euro 2020 despite Portugal’s early exit

Messi to PSG?

Lionel Messi is currently a free agent.

It’s expected the Barcelona hero will sign a new deal in Catalonia, but that won’t stop others trying their luck and, according to Spanish outlet, AS, Paris Saint-Germain have offered the 34-year-old a contract.

Erling Haaland to Chelsea ‘really complicated’ with Dortmund ‘relaxed’ after Man Utd deal

The Norwegian hit 41 goals and 12 assists in 41 games for Bundesliga giants Dortmund last term and is one of the most sought-after players in Europe.

After joining from Red Bull Salzburg for around £18m in January 2020, Haaland’s ruthless goalscoring consistency means his value has soared to £150m although a release clause in his contract makes him available for £64m in 2022

While it may be expected Dortmund would prefer to sell for as big a fee as possible now to maximise their profit, they want to hold on to the striker for another 12 months even though they will miss out on a huge amount of money as a result.

And although Chelsea are eager to recruit the Leeds-born 20-year-old, Dortmund are keeping calm because they are under no pressure to sell.

Haaland is under contract until 2024 and Dortmund qualified for the Champions League thanks to a strong finish to the season.

Having agreed a deal to sell Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, the Yellow Blacks are under no financial constraints and are keen to keep hold of Haaland another year, which is bad news for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Transfer expert Romano said on YouTube: “After selling Jadon Sancho, Dortmund are really relaxed. They are convinced they can do it and they can keep Haaland.

“If someone wants to sign Haaland this summer, Chelsea and other clubs, they will have to break the bank. It will be really, really difficult.

“His contract, you have to pay a huge salary if you want to sign him. Dortmund prefer to sell the player in one year and not right now.

“They want to enjoy Haaland. They don’t need money because they sold Sancho to Manchester United. They’re not in a rush. Haaland will be really, really complicated.
