UEFA reacts after Chelsea Star Netted a Brace to Guide his country to Next Year FIFA World Cup



The European football governing body UEFA has reacted, after Chelsea football club of England star Timo Werner netted a brace for Hansi-Dieter Flick led Germany national team in their remarkable 4-0 victory over North Macedonia, to book their spot in next year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The former RassenballSport Leipzig football club star was given another starting role in his team’s first eleven by coach Flick and he was able to impress in the game.

Timo Werner led the away team’s attack alongside his teammate Kai Havertz and the duo were able to find the back of the net for the away team.

After playing out a goalless draw in the first half, Kai Havertz opened scoring for the away team in the 50th minutes, Timo Werner doubled the lead in the 70th minutes, and he scored his second goal of the game in the 73rd minutes before substitute Jamil Musiala scored the last goal of the game in the 84th minutes to end the match 4-0.

With Germany’s 4-0 victory over North Macedonia national team, it means they’ve become the first country to qualify for next year FIFA World Cup.

Reacting after Timo Werner netted a brace for Germany national team to qualify for World Cup, UEFA posted on their verified Twitter handle that;

“🇩🇪 Timo Werner scores twice as Germany become the first team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup 👏👏👏.”

Timo Werner will now be looking forward to continuing his impressive performance when he returns to Chelsea FC this weekend.
