UEFA reveals Erling Haaland has broken Manchester United Legend’s record in UCL (Photo)



The European football governing body popularly known as UEFA has revealed on Friday evening via their verified Twitter handle, that Borussia Dortmund star Erling Braut Haaland has broken Manchester United Legend’s record, following his brace against Sevilla FC few days ago in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg at Signal Iduna Park in Germany.

The former Molde FK and RassenBallsport Salzburg football club of Austria striker who has been exceptional for the German Bundesliga giants continues his excellent performance for the club in all competitions on Tuesday night as he scored his team’s two goals in the encounter, to book their spot in the quarter final of the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League.

Erling Haaland netted a brace to become the present highest goal scorer in the competition this season with 11 goals, and his brace means the youngster has set a new record in the competition history.

Haaland becomes the youngster player in UEFA Champions League history to score 20 goals, after playing just 14 matches, and not only that one, he also became the highest scoring Norwegian in the competition’s history, after netting a brace to overtake Manchester United football club of England Legend and coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who scored 19 goals during his playing time.

Reacting after Erling Braut Haaland becomes highest scoring Norwegian in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA posted on their verified Twitter handle on Friday evening that;

Erling Braut Haaland 20, will now be ready to add to his 20 goals in the UEFA Champions League, when the quarter final starts next month.
