Chelsea on Thursday night confirmed that Saul Niguez will wear the number 17 jersey for the club this season.

The Spaniard was signed for the south London outfit on a one-year loan with the option to buy from Atletico Madrid this summer transfer window.

The current Champions League winners however have the highest decision of making the transfer deal permanent in June 2022.

Saul wore the no. 17 shirt for Atletico during his first two campaigns as a regular starter in Diego Simeone’s squad who won the Spanish LaLiga title.
