Brighton vs Fulham
England Premier League
Date: Wednesday, 27 January 2021
Kick-Off at 19.30 UK
Venue: The American Express Community Stadium, Falmer.

Brighton will host Fulham in a low-profile Premier League encounter on Wednesday evening at The American Express Community Stadium in Falmer.

The match has all the ingredients of a relegation six-pointer at this stage as the two sides sit right next to each other on the brink of the danger area in the Premier League standings.

The Seagulls will enter the tie higher on confidence having clinched back-to-back wins in the last two games in all competitions. They produced the best performance of the season last weekend, beating Leeds United 0-1 at the Elland Road.

The team led by Graham Potter were in full control of the game against a very dangerous Leeds side and well deserved a three-pointer there. They backed it up with the weekend’s 2-1 home win over Blackpool in the FA Cup. Can Potter’s troops make it three on the spin here against Fulham?

Brighton vs Fulham Head-to-head

  • Brighton lead the head to head tie by two wins going into their 16th clash with the Cottagers.
  • However, Fulham have won two and drawn one of the last three meetings with the Seagulls.
  • It is interesting to mention that five of the last six head to head contests between these two sides saw both teams getting on the scoresheet.
  • Fulham have won just one of six away matches with the Seagulls.

Brighton vs Fulham Prediction

Fulham have been one of the worst teams in the league ever since the season began. Scott Parker seemed to had fixed the defensive holes in December/early-January as his men shipped just one goal in matches against Liverpool and Spurs. They have also kept clean sheets against Brighton and Southampton in the meantime.

Nevertheless, the Cottagers will travel to Falmer off the back of a three-loss thread. They have scored just one goal in the losses against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Burnley. The last weekend’s home defeat to Burnley was probably the most painful one.

You just can’t consider yourself a good side when you allow three goals to Clarets without posting any kind of threat on the opposing end.

Form-wise, Brighton are worth backing at the 2.05 odds, although they are yet to celebrate the maiden league win on the home court this season.

This will likely be a low-scoring affair s neither of the two teams have a strong firepower on display in the final third at the moment.
