Everton are without Lucas Digne through injury with the full-back set to undergo surgery on Monday while Seamus Coleman and Jean-Philippe Gbamin are also unavailable.

Ancelotti can call upon his attacking trio of James Rodriguez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison from the start with Alex Iwobi expected to continue after an eye-catching display at wing-back at Craven Cottage.

Everton and Leeds got their respective campaigns back up and running last weekend after a string of concerning results, with the Toffees having lost three on the trot and Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffering back-to-back 4-1 losses to Leicester City and Crystal Palace.

The hosts produced an impressive showing against Fulham in west London despite a late flurry from the Cottagers, while Leeds battered Arsenal in a scintillating 0-0 at Elland Road but were unable to breach Bernd Leno’s goal, even when the visitors were reduced to 10 men.

But, considering the form of Leeds prior to Arsenal’s journey up the M1, Bielsa would have been content with a point before kick-off against one of the league’s ‘Big Six’. So, with both sides claiming positive results last time out, it sets the stage nicely for a fascinating contest this weekend.

Carlo Ancelotti has a full-strength squad to choose from, welcoming back the likes of Richarlison and Lucas Digne — who both featured against Fulham — but the sheer unpredictability and often mesmeric exploits of Leeds means this game really could go either way

Official line-ups

Everton: Pickford, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey, Allan, Davies, Doucoure, Iwobi, Rodriguez, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin

Leeds: Meslier, Ayling, Koch, Cooper, Dallas, Phillips, Klich, Raphina, Alioski, Harrison, Bamford
