Tottenham vs Chelsea highlights: Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger seal win

It’s another capital derby this weekend as two bitter rivals face off in north London in the Premier League

Thoughts on the first half from a Chelsea perspective

It’s been much of the same for the Blues so far, they haven’t quite been at full tilt in the first half. Kai Havertz and Mason Mount have been quiet and as a result, haven’t managed to get Romelu Lukaku in the game.

Thiago Silva has been excellent at the back for the Blues, he’s probably been the calmest player on the pitch on either side so far.

Spurs have played well, Tanguy Ndombele especially, so has Hojbjerg, as they have swarmed the Blues in midfield. Jorginho hasn’t been given any time at all on the ball to dictate play for Chelsea, while Ndombele has repeatedly dragged Mateo Kovacic away from where he wants to be.

Entertaining first half, delicately balanced.

Full time: Tottenham 0-3 Chelsea

That was some second-half performance from Chelsea.

Thiago Silva broke the deadlock after the interval with a header from a corner and N’Golo Kante’s deflected effort gave the Blues’ breathing room.

Antonio Rudiger struck late on to put gloss on a victory that has put Chelsea top of the Premier League table this evening.

Chelsea have continued their moment run of form in the Premier League after beating their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

The host made a most intense start to the game, especially with their pressing but Thiago Silva and Andreas Christensen making crucial intervention while Kepa making one good save on a Son as half-time ended goalless at Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

In the second half Thiago Silva converted Marcos Alonso corner to give Chelsea deserved lead.

Several minutes later, N’Golo Kante brilliant shot deflected into inside the net before Antonio Rudiger delivered superb finish to make it 3-0 in the stoppage time.
