Watch Togo vs Egypt Live Streaming Match

Africa Cup of Nations qualifying continues as Togo host Egypt in 2020’s final round of fixtures on Tuesday at 4pm (UK time).

Neither side have had the best start to qualifying, failing to win both of their opening games, which took place as early as November 2019.

For Egypt, it was back-to-back draws against Kenya and Comoros while Togo where beaten by the latter and drew with the former.

Hossam El Badry’s side triumphed 1-0 over Togo on Saturday, with Mahmoud Hamdi grabbing the all-important goal. A repeat of that result on Tuesday would bring Egypt within touching distance of Cameroon 2021, although a win for Togo would blow Group G wide open.

Player to watch: Mohamed Elneny (Egypt)

Although Mohamed Salah is out, there is still Premier League interest in Egypt’s game at the weekend, particularly for Arsenal fans.

Before the 2020/21 Premier League started, hardly anyone expected Mohamed Elneny to be part of Arsenal’s plans for the campaign but Mikel Arteta valued the Egyptian’s qualities. Across all competitions, the 28-year-old has played 11 games at the heart of Arsenal’s midfield, providing the stability they have been missing for quite some time when bringing the ball out.

And he is crucial in that role for Egypt too. With El Badry often playing a 4-2-3-1, Elneny’s position in front of the defenders can help them build from deep while also remaining fairly well protected in transition. With Salah missing and some uncertainty about the attack, Elneny’s position in the team will be even more in important this week as Egypt look to get their qualification campaign on the right track.

Scoreline prediction: Togo 1-2 Egypt
