AC Milan are looking for the second straight victory in Turin three days after they’ve destroyed Juventus 0-3 at Allianz Stadium. Can they repeat the feat against Torino?

Milan made a huge step towards securing the Champions League football with an empathic 0-3 victory over the 36-time champions Juventus.

Brahim Diaz, Ante Rebic, and Fikayo Tomori were on target for I Rossoneri on Sunday. The team led by Stefano Pioli are now three points above the fifth-placed Juventus and as many as eight points ahead of Lazio in sixth.

The job is still far from done, though. Milan have a tough away fixture against Atalanta on the final day and they will clearly want to finish the job before that game.

Rossoneri have generally done great on travels this season. They boast the best away record in the entire competition with 14 wins in 17 league fixtures outside of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this term.

While such an impressive record makes them favorites, Milan will have to dig deep to secure another three-pointer here against Torino.

The hosts have been in good touch lately. They lost only one of the last seven league affairs to move away from the bottom three in the league standings.

Torino have significantly improved their defensive showings of late and they will certainly be a tough nut to crack for their in-form rivals on Wednesday.

Torino vs AC Milan Head-to-head

  • Torino have rarely been a tricky opposition to Milan over the course of history.
  • Milan won 20, drew 16, and lost just 3 of the last 39 meetings with Il Toro.
  • However, it is interesting to mention that 10 of the last 17 H2H games played in Turin ended in a stalemate.
  • The two sides met each other in the last 16 round of Coppa Italia in January when Milan advanced on penalties after there were no goals in the regular time.
  • Three or more goals were scored in only two of the last ten head to head games between the two sides.

Torino vs AC Milan Prediction

We have reasons to expect the continuation of a low-scoring trend in this match-up. Torino have played super-tight defensively of late. This is why five of their last six league games ended with fewer than three goals scored.

The hosts will sit tight at the back and wait for their chances from counter-attacks, just as they did in the aforementioned Coppa Italia clash against Milan. We would not be surprised to even see another goalless draw
