Just a few days to the end of the year 2020. The year that was full of disaster and most especially the pandemic which causes havoc all around the world. But thank God the pandemic could only delay our beloved Premier League but it could not stop us, as the Premier League was able to resume back in July after it has earlier be halted in March due to the pandemic.

Despite the pandemic causing havoc in the financial aspects of the Premier League, but that does not stop clubs from splash the cash in the year 2020. So we look at the best signings in the Premier League in the year 2020.

1. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

The Portuguese attacking midfielder joined Manchester United during the January transfer window in 2020. And ever since he joined the club he has been delivered for the club on daily basis. The midfielder was instrumental in the club clinching the European spot last season.

And this season he has continued in the same form as he has scored 13 goals for the Red Devils this season. He is agreeable to the best signing for the year.

2. Tomas Soucek (West Ham)

The midfielder was initially signed on loan from Slavia Prague in Czech. But after a series of good performances, the loan move was made permanent by West Ham United. He had grabbed a couple of goals for West Ham United since he joined the club,

and he is been compared to former Everton and Manchester United Marouane Fellaini due to him being good with his head.

3. Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)

The midfielder joined from a championship side Hull City in the January transfer window. Many were expected a tough kid for him at West Ham United due to the quality of attacking players in the West Ham United team.

But he has nailed down a starting lineup in the team due to his impressive performance for the club.

4.Thiago Silva (Chelsea)

At 36 years old, many would not have the switch to the Premier League and most especially if you are a defender. But not the Brazilian defender who made a switch to Chelsea after leading the Paris Saint Germain club to the UEFA Champions League last season.

And he has made himself a regular in the Blues defence and his experience has helped the club have they now look solid in defence compare to last season.

5. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham)

The midfielder was snapped from Southampton by Tottenham in the last transfer window. And he has become an indispensable player for Tottenham this season.

No one would have believed he would walk into the team due to the quality of players in the Tottenham squad.

6. Diogo Jota (Liverpool)

He was also signed during the last transfer window. Many thought he was just a bench player due to attacking the trio of Liverpool front three. But he has been able to play with the front three before his injury.

And he has scored nine goals in 15 matches for the club this season.

7. Edouard Mendy (Chelsea)

There is no doubt that he is one of the reasons why Chelsea are doing so well this season. He has been able to keep 10 clean sheets in 16 games for the blues this season,

while his rival Kepa Arizabalaga needs 45 games before he can keep the same number of clean sheets for the club.

8. Tariq Lamptey (Brighton)

He only played one game for Chelsea last season, which caught the eyes of Brighton. And he was bought for a relatively low fee by the club, and he holds the right-back spot his own for the club.

And he huge miss for Brighton this season as they have struggled without him.
